What is the difference between the SUITCASE® Singlefold ramps and the SUITCASE® TRIFOLD® AS ramp?
The SUITCASE Singlefold ramp folds in half once and retains its full length when folded. The TRIFOLD AS ramp folds in half and then again lengthwise, making it half the length and half the width for more compact storage and transport.
What is the difference between the AS and non-AS versions?
The AS (Applied Surface) version features a black, high-strength textured surface that offers enhanced traction. The non-AS version has a standard extruded aluminum tread with built-in slip resistance.
What are the plates at the top and bottom of the ramp for?
The ramp includes a fixed top transition plate with holes for secure attachment to the supporting surface. At the bottom, two independently self-adjusting ground transition plates allow for smoother, more stable transitions between the ramp and ground.
Can you connect multiple ramps together?
No, SUITCASE ramps are not designed to be connected. For longer lengths, consider our SUITCASE TRIFOLD AS, GATEWAY® 3G (up to 10 feet), or PATHWAY® 3G ramps, which can be connected to achieve custom lengths.
How do you keep the ramp from moving during use?
Secure the ramp to the supporting surface using the provided clevis pins or screws through the pre-drilled holes located at the top of each section.
Are handrails available with this ramp?
No, SUITCASE ramps do not come with handrails. If you require a portable ramp with handrails, we recommend the GATEWAY 3G Solid Surface Portable Ramp, which offers two handrail style options.
Can this ramp be separated into sections?
No, this ramp cannot be separated. If you need a ramp that splits into two pieces for easier transport, consider the SUITCASE Singlefold AS Ramp or the SUITCASE TRIFOLD AS Ramp.
Limited Lifetime Warranty – Homecare Products, Inc. dba EZ-ACCESS
1. Warranty Coverage
Homecare Products, Inc., doing business as EZ-ACCESS (“Manufacturer”), warrants that its products will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for the lifetime of the product. This limited warranty applies only to Manufacturer’s parts and components, excluding cosmetic elements such as the powder-coated finish, applied non-skid tape, and similar items.
2. Remedy
The Manufacturer’s sole obligation, and the purchaser’s exclusive remedy, under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of parts and components found, upon inspection, to be defective to the Manufacturer’s reasonable satisfaction.
Repairs or replacements will be made at no charge for parts or labor.
For discontinued products, the Manufacturer reserves the right to substitute with a comparable item or refund the purchase price.
Prior to making a claim, the purchaser must contact the Manufacturer for service. At its discretion, the Manufacturer may issue a Return Authorization (RA) or schedule an on-site examination.
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. Proof of purchase is required.
3. Limitations and Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
Failure to report defects within 30 days of discovery
Damages resulting from improper installation, alterations, relocation, overloading, negligence, accident, vandalism, misuse, or abuse
Ordinary wear and tear
Environmental factors such as shrinkage, warping, fading, or corrosion
Changes to the surrounding ground or structures
Soil movement or shifting site conditions
Acts of God, including but not limited to: fire, explosion, water damage, wind, hail, lightning, flood, snow, earthquake, and insect or animal damage
The Manufacturer assumes no liability for injury or property damage resulting from product use, regardless of warranty status.
4. Warranty Disclaimer
This warranty is exclusive and replaces all other warranties, express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Where such disclaimers are not permitted by law, any implied warranties are limited to the duration of this written warranty.
5. Limitation of Liability
Manufacturer shall not be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the product, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
The maximum liability under this warranty shall not exceed the purchase price of the covered product.
6. Additional Rights
This warranty is in addition to other rights the purchaser may have under applicable laws. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion of certain damages, so these limitations may not apply to all purchasers.
The Manufacturer reserves the right to modify or improve its products without obligation to upgrade previously manufactured units.
