Why is the Configura Advance so comfortable?

The four-way stretch material throughout the chair allows the resident to immerse into the cushions, redistributing pressure across the body for exceptional comfort and reduced pressure on high-risk areas.

Can the Configura Advance chair positions be changed?

Yes. The chair reclines up to 130° and tilts from 0° to 37°, allowing caregivers to adjust positioning for comfort, pressure redistribution, and postural support.

Do the legs elevate?

Yes. Using BodyMove™ technology, the leg rest moves outward and upward to prevent knee compression. Continuous support beneath each knee eliminates gaps and helps reduce discomfort and pressure.

Can a specialty seat cushion be used with the Configura Advance?

Yes. Any preferred cushion sized 16”×16” or 17”×17” with a 3” depth can be inserted into the cushion well for customized comfort and pressure care.

Is the Configura Advance chair configurable?

Yes. Without tools, the seat width can be adjusted from 16” to 22”, and the seat depth can also be modified from 16” to 22”, allowing the chair to accommodate multiple users.

Do you offer plantar and dorsiflexion on the footplate?

Yes. The footplate offers three angle adjustments to accommodate plantarflexion and dorsiflexion needs for improved comfort and positioning.

Can the footplate be removed?

Yes. The footplate can be easily removed for taller residents or when using a sit-to-stand lift.

What if I have a shorter resident?

The footplate can be raised, lowered, or angled to support shorter residents. This ensures proper foot support and positioning, including plantar or dorsiflexion when needed.

Is the material waterproof?

The material is vapor permeable, allowing air to move outward while helping prevent fluids from penetrating the surface, supporting hygiene and comfort.

Do you offer a bariatric option?

No. The Configura Advance is not designed for bariatric care.

Is the Configura covered under Medicare or Medicaid?

No. The Configura Advance is not covered or reimbursed under Medicare or Medicaid.

Will this chair fit under a dining table?

It may fit when lowered to floor height, but generally it is not designed to fit under standard dining tables.

Can this chair be transported in a van?

No. The chair is not designed to be tied down or used as a transport seat, and residents should not remain seated in the chair during vehicle transport.

What is the duration of the warranty?

The Configura Advance includes a 2-year warranty.
