The Rifton Wave Pediatric Shower Chair is a highly adjustable bathing and showering system designed to provide exceptional comfort, support, and safety for children and young adults with special needs. Engineered to simplify bathing while promoting proper positioning, the Wave helps caregivers provide daily hygiene assistance with greater ease while keeping users secure and comfortable throughout every bath or shower.

Available in Small, Medium, and Large sizes, the Rifton Wave is fully configurable to accommodate a wide range of users and changing needs. The Medium model features an extra-wide 15-inch open-sided seat that provides additional room for comfort and improved caregiver access. Soft knit fabric and generous integrated padding help protect sensitive skin while reducing pressure points, making the chair ideal for users who require extended bathing support.

The Wave offers exceptional positioning flexibility with a backrest that adjusts from flat to 75 degrees in six positions and a seat that independently adjusts from flat to 75 degrees in seven positions. An optional independently adjustable calf rest provides additional lower-leg support, while the convenient one-handed backrest adjustment allows caregivers to reposition the chair while maintaining a hand on the user for added safety and reassurance.

Designed for long-term value, every Wave chair size is compatible with any of Rifton’s available base options. An optional conversion kit allows users to transition economically from the Small to Medium size by replacing only the seat, backrest, and cover. For enhanced transfer safety, an optional tub transfer base allows the chair to be rolled and rotated over the bathtub after mechanical lift transfers, helping reduce caregiver strain while improving overall bathing safety.
