Quick Start Guide for Setting Up and Riding Your dash 3
The moment your dashmoto® dash 3 arrives, everything changes. Daily routines feel lighter, familiar streets open new possibilities, and the idea of freedom becomes something you can truly feel in your hands.
The dash 3 isn’t just another electric mobility scooter—it’s a movement. Built for those ready to reclaim time, energy, and experiences, it’s lightweight, powerful, intuitive, and designed to fit seamlessly into your lifestyle.
Unboxing is the first step to unlocking spontaneity, connection, and control. Setup is simple, and within minutes, you’ll be ready for your first ride.
Unboxing and Getting Ready to Ride
- Open the box and carefully remove all packaging around the dash 3 and its components.
- Locate the velcro strap securing the head tube to the frame. Remove it, but keep it for future safe transport.
- Press the silver tab at the frame joint to unlock the head tube, then move it into position.
- Remove the remaining packaging and the seat.
- Lift the dash 3 out of the box (only 26 lbs, thanks to its carbon fiber frame) and place it on level ground.
Setting Up Your Dash 3
- Pull the head tube upright and lock it by lifting the orange lever until it clicks firmly.
- Open the orange seat latch, insert the seat post, and secure it in place.
- Check the battery by pressing the button on the pack under the seat.
- To charge: open the rubber plug and insert the charging cable. Charge in place or remove the battery with the quick-release button. When the charger light turns green, you’re ready to ride.
Powering On and Riding
- To power up, long-press the button beneath the handlebar control panel. Use the same button to power down.
- The LCD panel shows speed, mileage, and battery life at a glance.
Switch ride modes using the arrow buttons:
- Walk Mode: 4 mph (ideal for crowds or supermarkets)
- Cruise Mode: 8 mph (comfortable neighborhood rides)
- Sport Mode: 18 mph (commuting and fun)
- Reverse Mode: 4 mph (smooth maneuvering in tight spaces)
- Throttle & Brakes: Twist the right-side throttle gently to accelerate. Squeeze the front brake lever to stop with precision via dual hydraulic brakes.

Mastering Maneuverability
- With a 2.5-foot turning radius, the Dash 3 handles tight spaces with ease.
- Start slow to get familiar with turning and braking.
- The low center of gravity and negative camber design add stability during sharper maneuvers.
Breaking Down for Transport or Storage
- Remove the seat by pulling the orange lever beneath it.
- Fold the handlebars toward the seat pole, then fold the head tube toward the frame.
- Reattach the velcro strap around the frame and head tube to secure it for transport.
The compact fold makes it perfect for car trunks, closets, and travel.
